A scarce copy of one of the Masereel's fine graphic works. ***Frans Masereel (1889 – 1972) was a Flemish painter and graphic artist who worked mainly in France. Known mainly for his woodcuts, critics consider his best work to be the wordless novel Mon Livre d'Heures (Passionate Journey). He published over 20 other wordless novels in his career, strongly affecting the graphic work of Lynd Ward and his successors: Clifford Harper and Eric Drooker.
