About This Item
First Edition, First Printing. Signed by the author on the title page. Fine grey cloth, glit bright with no fading, with a very good dust jacket, minor edge and top and tail of spine wear. Bit of foxing to rear dj flap, otherwise a very bright pictorial jacket. A wonderful collection of five novellas and short stories with interlacing themes, each built around a medieval myth, with The Enigma and The Ebony Tower serving as the basis for TV and film adaptations. 8vo - over 7¾' - 9¾'. A lovely copy, relatively scarce in this condition.
Synopsis
John Fowles won international recognition with his first published novel, The Collector (1963). His subsequent works include The Magus (1966); The French Lieutenant's Woman (1969); Daniel Martin (1977); and others.
