Limited edition, limited to 200 copies, of which this is numbered 84.Signed by Aldington to the limitation page.Published by the Hours Press, founded in 1928 by Nancy Cunard. With this press Cunard published experimental poetry of young writers; as she had inherited wealth she was able to take financial risks that other publishers could not. Cunard was a prominent heiress and activist against racism and fascism, a muse to many of the important writers of her time - she was the lover of Aldous Huxley, Ezra Pound, and Ernest Hemingway, among others. A collection of poems by Richard Aldington, an important early twentieth century author and poet of the Imaginist movement. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with patterned paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing to the paper. A little fading to the spine, joints, and extremities. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some scattered spots. Good
