About This Item
London: Oxford University Press, 1967. Price-clipped dustwrapper has some creasing and small tears to top end of spine, also what looks like shelf-wear to top edge of dark blue boards (possibly was upside-down on a shelf?), old water damage to back board. A small label (Oxford University Press Library) on f/ep, but otherwise internally a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover book. Originally published in 1939, this is a lithgraphic copy from 1967 of the 1940 second edition. Based on a series of lectures given by the author between 1936 and 1938 on the influence of Indian (Hindu, mostly) thinking and ideas on Western religion. 396pp.. Hard Cover. Fair/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
