" This is No. 55 of the first American edition and is presented with the compliments of the Publisher", so stated on the half title page. Blue cloth with dark blue spine wrap band with gilted rule borders and gilted tiles to the spine. This copy is VG+ in a Good, price clipped DJ . Exterior is rich and clean with a minimal amount of sunning to the edges and spine , and only a hint of edge wear. Inside has PO armorial BP on inside front board and a small bookseller stamp, otherwise unmarked, clear, and firmly bound. Minimal/modest even toning . DJ has a 6", tape repaired closed tear to the front spine hinge, significant chipping to the edges, and moderate sunning to the flaps. 504 pp.SCARCE as a numbered edition..
