The Complete Text Of The Louis Mercier-Eleanor King Translation, Extracted From The St. James Magazine Issues Of July Through December 1873, Published Anonymously In 28 Chapters With All Illustrations, Predating The October 1873 First English Hardcover Edition Published By Sampson, Low, Marston & Co. In October ( Reported In The Atheneum #2398 Of October 11, 1873 As A New Book From Them). Pages Have No Titles To Identify The Source, But Page Numbers At Top And Codes At Bottom Of Pages Match Those For The St. James Issues Held At The University Of Illinois At Urbana- Champaign And Reported Thru Hathitrust. Pages Bound In Quarter Leather With All But First Four Chapters Of Verne's "Three Englishmen And Three Russians In South Africa" And All Of "The Fatal Inheritance" And "The Two Brothers" By Other Authors. Binding Worn, Spine Mostly Perished (Spine Label And Some Leather Laid In Loosely), But All Pages Clean, No Damage, And Illustrations Are Very Strong, Clean Impressions Rivaling Those In The Hardcover Edition.
