Geelong: The Author. 1931. 8vo, cloth boards with gilt title to spine, b&w plates, pp 100 plus 1 p. advertisement (for a Queenscliff hotel). Corners gently rubbed, small mark front board, small pen marks several pages, o/w very good condition. Includes four-page hand-written letter (taped to fep) which is dated Queenscliff, 1950. The letter, from a Mrs Sims, refers to walking around Queenscliff with the author, who would talk about the town including the house where Henry Handel Richardson lived. The book itself says that the author was the original for a character in Richardson's Ultima Thule. History of early Queenscliff (Victoria) with photographs of the town. 1st edition. Boards.
