London: Smith, Elder and Co, 1861. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine. 1st edition (page 352 misnumbered 252 and the customary cancels). Rossetti's first conventionally published book (600 copies), a comprehensive collection, with extracts from 64 medieval poets, 59 named and 5 anonymous. Cloth, small scars to inner paper hinge (not cracked), else near fine complete with the errata and ad leaf, and though this is not a scarce book it is so in this condition.
