Limited to 500 copies printed by Lawton Kennedy. 302 pp., frontis; 8vo; charcoal cloth back lettered in gilt and patterned red paper over boards. Illustrations throughout, chiefly photographs; vignettes from engravings; folding map showing early inns on the White Rock and Folsom pioneer roads between Sacramento and Placerville as of the end of 1859. Some page sections unopened. In clear mylar jacket with splits at spine ends. .
