London: N.Trubner & Co , 1876 Recent Black Morocco Half Leather Binding with Burgundy Cloth Sides. Five raised Bands with burgundy leather titles slip and hand gilt tiles. Appied two colour head and tail bands. 230 x 150 mm approx.1876. Book block sewn on three tapes which have been laced into made boards. There are also three cords which have been laced into the boards, these together with the flat back imitate a17th century binding on the bookshelf. c + 388 pp. VG (Book - Blind Impressed stamp of British and Foreign School Society, Training College Stockwell London SW to half title, Rough fore and bottom edges of book block. Minor marginal finger soiling to some pages and a little dust ingression soiling. No other previous owner name, insc. nor annotations). Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale.
