Brown buckram boards with gilt titles and cover decoration. Quarto. [xviii], 160pp., with 88 B&W and 12 color photo plates protected with tissue guards. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square; minor wear to beveled-edge light brown cloth boards, gilt titling dulled but otherwise clear and legible; photos and text very good throughout; faint liquid stain spots on spine and rear board. No dust jacket, if issued. A "pioneering work", according to the Smithsonian Museum of Asian Art. Due to the size/weight of this book extra charges may apply for international shipping.
