This was originally published in Toronto in 1898. Light edge and corner wear with a flat uncreased spine and a small mark on the upper right of the front cover; previous owner's name inside. Subtitled: A Large Number of Tested Recipes for the Kitchen, Dining Room and Sick Room. Preface by the authors; short foreword by John Ruskin. There are far too many recipes here to list them all but some of the highlights are: Scotch Broth Soup; Venison Soup; Steamed Salmon or White Fish; Stewed Lobster; Oyster Stew; Roast Goose; Roast Wild Duck; Stewed Rabbit; Shepherd's Pie; Tripe and Onions; Potted Veal; Haggis; Soda Scones; and many, many more..
