n/a, 1900. Manuscript. Good. Quarto ledger. 194 pages of double spaced lined paper of which 90 pages were used for manuscript entries. Dark cloth covered boards with black leather spine, joints and corners. Leather on spine is worn, rubbed and chipped. Edge wear to boards. Front joint is cracked and front cover loose but attached. "George Dowdiny" name is etched with decorated borders on the right front fly leaf. G. G. Murray's written name located below Dowdiny. John Stellin Stationer 303 E. 26th Street, N.Y. purple oval stamp located on the front paste down. The first 90 pages were used to record chemical mixtures for external or topical application for a variety of conditions including venereal, respiratory, digestive organs, nervous system, rheumatism, gout, etc. Contents are neatly organized with a hand written index on page 89. Journal not dated. Old news clipping front 1902 placed in between the pages.
