About This Item
Random House, 1950. First Edition - First Printing. Hardcover. Good with no dust jacket/No Dustjacket. Signed by R. V. Cassill on the title page with no date or inscription; author's first book. Pages are crisp, but they are somewhat age toned and show some scattered finger smudges; there is a spot of soiling and a light stain on the inside of the front cover and the front free endpaper, extending slightly to the half title; there is a tap at the head edge of the page block, causing some chipping to the margins of several pages. The binding remains square and secure, the hard cover modestly rubbed along the heel edges, at corners, and at spine tips, with some softening at the spine ends and just a little darkening of the gilt title, otherwise clean and attractive.; Signed by Author.
