About This Item

UK,slim, small 8vo card wraps,1st edn thus.VG++.No owner inscrptn. Bright, crisp, clean, matt, thin RAF blue card stapled covers with black lettering and Society's logo/trademark to front cover, rear cover plain RAF blue; with negligible shelf-wear,creasing to edges and corners - no nicks or tears present. Both card covers have an identical vertical central crease - production fault? Top+fore-edges very lightly toned; contents bright, tight;clean, solid and sound - no dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners' - virtually pristine and would appear unread - apart from my own collation.UK,slim, small 8vo wraps,1-9pp [paginated] covers excluded, monograph with references and notes on their sources, and [unpaginated],Lawrence's b/w portrait photographic frntis (Taken in early 1935 and from 'Lawrence of Arabia and his world' pp108) and [unpaginated] reverse of pp9 with a note on the Kipling Society with Kipling's b/w portrait photograph. The T. E. Lawrence Society is a registered Educational Charity. Founded at the Red Lion Hotel,in Wareham, Dorset,on 29 June 1985,which coincided with the 50th anniversary of Lawrence's death.Ethos to advance the education of the public in the life and works of T. E. Lawrence and to promote research (and to publish the useful results thereof) into his life and works. The Society produces and issues two 80-page Journals and three Newsletters each year. The Newsletters report on current events of interest to members, including the activities of the Society. The Journal, whose accumulated issues now form an invaluable biographical source, contain research articles and reprints of significant material about Lawrence. A highly collected subject, topic and theme on all things Lawrencean and an unusual, uncommon and scarce ephemeral Lawrence-related item and will be an important and welcome addition to the T.E. Lawrence canon.
The centenary of T. E. Lawrence's birth prompts the author of this monograph to examine the relationship between the 'Poet of the Empire' and 'Lawrence of Arabia'. Did they ever meet,or write to one another? Did they get on together, and agree with each other's views? Were there similarities in their lifestyles and opinions? Please contact seller @ rpaxtonden@blueyonder.co.uk ,because of the lighter weight of this item, for correct shipping/P+p quotes - particularly ALL overseas buyers - BEFORE ordering through the order page!
N.B. ALL buyers note, stocks' actual shipping/P+p costs are adjusted and any difference is refunded after order's receipt and before the order's despatch, especially if item(s) offered P/p included or free.
