About This Item

New York: Doubleday, Doran & Co., 1938. First edition, Two volumes. There were 1,000 copies in this limited edition: 500 for the UK market and 500 for the U.S. Both volumes numbered 276; signed by their respective editors, Graves and Hart, who also provide critical commentary. Old glue shadows to front pastedowns, hinges unavoidably darkened, spines a little tanned and rubbed; otherwise, very good lacking the dust jackets and slipcase.
