[London : George Virtue, 1836]. An attractive attractive antique print - a view from the hills of Dunstaffnage Castle near Oban - highlanders with swords and shields in the foreground. Engraved by Elias Benjamin (1805?-1854) from an original study by the gifted Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series "Scotland Illustrated" (London : 1835-1838). Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 140 x 176mm (approx. 5-1/2" x 6-7/8"). A few faint marks to outer blank margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
