About This Item

Putnam, 1969. Later Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Signed by Author. Signed by Frank Herbert on title page. Although the copyright page states this is a second impression, with a publication date of 1969, this copy is a trade reissue published circa 1980, with black boards and a price of $14.95 on the jacket flap. Second printing thus. This edition is also unique in that the title page is the front end page. Hardcover in jacket, price intact on jacket flap. Several small tears to jacket edge, slight sunning to jacket spine, and some rubbing to the rear panel. Presents well in fresh Mylar. Text is clean and unmarked. Light foxing to top page edges. Binding strong. Very good condition. Increasingly rare to find in signed form. Additional photos available upon request.

Synopsis

Dune Messiah is a science fiction novel by Frank Herbert, the second in a series of six novels. It was originally serialized in Galaxy magazine in 1969. The American and British editions have different prologues summarizing events in the previous novel. The novels Dune Messiah and Children of Dune were adapted by the Sci-Fi Channel in 2003 into a mini-series entitled Frank Herbert's Children of Dune. In 2002, the Science Fiction Book Club also published the two novels in one volume.
