A tell-all about the exploits of David "The Duke" Monteverde, a burglar who stole thousands of dollars of goods from Hollywood's elite during the 1930s and 1940s. Co-author Robert F. Slatzer was best known as a director and screenwriter for films such as "The Hellcats" (1968), "Bigfoot" (1970), and "Mule Feathers" (1978), and as the author of the biography "The Life and Curious Death of Marilyn Monroe" (1974).
