About This Item

92 pages with pictorial title, tables, photographs (some in color), drawings, illustrations and figures. Folio (12 3/4" x 9") bound in original publisher's pictorial wrappers. Artes de Mexico, number 173. First edition. The duality was both, a universal and particular vehicle. Universal because it appears through the cultural history of the world, particularly because it corresponds to a precise epoch. During the formative period two-headed or twin-faced beings appear in Mexico. These suggest tha the concept of duality had already entered the religious thought of these people. Whatever the reason may be, we designate duality as a sculptural representation of the different aspects of life. Condition: Edge wear, corners bumped, front signature loose else about very good.
