Crisp, clean, unclipped ($2.50) jacket has three small tears and very light edge wear. Kahl's gay 3-color illustrations and bright text shows her gifted touch in this whimsical variation of the Meistersinger theme about Droopsi, a boy from the Bavarian village of Pfeffernussenhofen who (badly) plays the concertina in a contest between his village and its neighbors.
