Nebula Award winner, 1978, for best novel. Hugo Award winner, 1979, for best novel. Publisher's review slip fixed to the inside of the front cover. Bound in original red stiff paper covers with lettering in black. As with many copies of this proof the final page 313 was not bound in. A letter of explanation and a copy of the final page are laid in. Spine very lightly sunned. Small chip to the top of the half-title page, else a fine copy.
Synopsis
Dreamsnake is a 1978 science fiction novel written by Vonda McIntyre. Dreamsnake won the 1979 Hugo Award, the 1978 Nebula Award, and the 1979 Locus Award. The novel follows a healer on a journey while she seeks to replace one of her healer snakes. Nuclear war, biotechnology, alternate sex patterns, and other-worldly tribalism put in appearances.
