This particular edition is numbered 415 and is signed by the author John Masefield and the illustrator Judith Masefield. John Masefield was the former poet laureate of the U.K., serving from 1930 to 1967. Alongside his incredibly successful career as a poet, Masefield was wrote a series of highly received children's works. Illustrated by Judith Masefield. A lovely example of this work, in the publisher's original quarter cloth binding. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding. Externally smart, with minor shelfwear.
