A really fascinating biography about the American writer and composer, Paul Bowles, and his wife Jane, and their life in Tangier, Morocco. Paul himself moved to Tangier in 1947 and lived there for the rest of his life, dying in 1999. The colourful people they were friends with included William Burroughs, Truman Capote, Allen Ginsburg, and the Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton.
