Housed in a beautiful black cloth leather clamshell case with a purple interior with titles stamped in white on the spine and to the front panel. The story of a boy who lived his life in one night. It was his sixteenth birthday and he had decided to murder Al Judge because of what he had done to his father. Basis for the 1951 film noir, THE BIG NIGHT, directed by Joseph Losey, and starred John Drew Barrymore, Preston Foster, Joan Loving, Howard St. John, et al. Great story from one of the most honored of contemporary writers of mystery fiction. A Haycraft Queen Cornerstone title. A difficult book to find in collectible condition.
