About This Item
London: Chapman and Hall, 1864. Hardcover. Very Good. vi, [3] pp 4-250 [2] The second edition of Browning's Dramatis Personae, published in the same year as the first edition. The book is in its original handsome publisher's blue cloth with black printed decoration and gilt spine lettering, with scuffing to the extremities and a two inch split along the cloth over the lower hinge although the binding is quite sound. The endpapers are a faded black coated paper; the text is complete with some foxing to the endpapers and the additional single leaf of adverts for Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poetry is also present. An oddly scarce volume. Very Good 1864
