The author was the Captain of the corvette Scharnhorst and gives an account of the ship from commission in 1939 to its sinking in 1943. At the core of the book is the final battle. 186 pages with 22 black and white photographs and 3 plans. Book in good condition ex library with sticker and stamp inside front cover, stamp on first page and inside back cover, frontispiece page loose, and some tanning. Cover has sticker on front, wear and fading (see photo). No dust jacket but flap with book description is pasted onto first page.
