USA: Alfred A. Knopf, Inc., 1946 Blue-gray cloth covers with gilt imprinting on the cover and spine. The top and bottom spine is bumped, consistent with shelf wear. The clipped orange dust jacket has black printing on the spine and a front illustration with a couple of sticker tears and four closed tears on the front and sun damage to the back edge, else fine. 257 front deckle-edged pages which are clean, crisp, unmarked and uncreased with the exception of the front free endplate and the half-title page which have a crease, else fine. The pages are starting to have some age toning. The binding is good and tight. A fine collector's edition from a non-smoking household. We ship daily.. Assumed First. Cloth. Fine+/Very Good-. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
