Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Putnam, 1987. Originally published in 1961, this is a collection of 8 short stories that date from the late 1920's to the middle 1950's. 228 pages, 6" X 8-1/2". The dust jacket is intact, though it has been price clipped at the top corner of the front flap. Gray colored boards, with black colored spine, the author name and title imprinted on the spine in gold. Cover boards are flat, the corners are not bumped or creased, no edge wear. Dust jacket has a vertical line of rubbing wear that runs the entire height of the book, about 1/4" wide, on both the front and back of the jacket . Edges of the text block are clean. Not a remainder, not a library discard. No writing, no former ownership marks. Sewn binding is tight and square. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.

The collection contains eight short stories and was not published in the UK; however all of the stories were published in other UK collections.
