Between pages 148 and 149 there are 24 pages of black-and-white photography. Red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Plaintext dustwrapper with white and blue coloured titles to the front panel and blue and red coloured titles to the back strip The biography of Dorothy Thompson and Sinclair Lewis, of their meeting, courtship, marriage and eventual divorce due to Sinclair Lewis alcohol consumption. The book is based on their correspondence to each other and Dorothy's diary entries. Softening and rubbing of the strip edges rubbing of the top book corners and lower book edges. Uniform light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Original owners name to the top edge of the free front end page. Chipping of the dustwrapper corners and lower back strip edge. There are small splits to either side of the top dustwrapper edge. Fading of the back strip and handling marks and a little rubbing up present. Creasing to the lower edge of the front panel.
