Apart from 5 hors commerce copies. Signed by Janaczweska, Hudson and Jarvis on colophon. “Conceived, designed and illustrated with multi-coloured linocuts by Mike Hudson and hand set in a variety of types by Jadwiga Jarvis. The lino-cuts were further illuminated by hand with additional colours making each copy in the edition unique” - colophon. Includes ‘how to read’ insert. Housed in original purple and pink floral linen case. Weight 6 lbs. Provenance Collection of Phyllis Cohen. Condition Brightly colored, crisp and clear, cheerful. Typographic rendition of Janaczewska's play of the same title, in which the screen actress 'finds herself in a poem instead of a movie' . "In order to maintain the spirit of a performance," says Mike Hudson "we gave the book a theatrical setting; the hotel room, which appears on every page, is its 'stage' onto which various scenarios (suggested by the text but not a literal depiction thereof) are introduced." .
