New York: Oxford University Press, 1942. Decorative Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good. Tasha Tudor (Hilda Scott). A crisp, impressive copy of the 1942 1st edition. Some soiling on the book's front cover, otherwise tight and internally fine. Also includes a crisp, very presentable example of the pictorial dustjacket, with its $1.75 price intact. Bright and VG, with light spotting to the panels and chipping at the spine ends (including 1" of loss at the crown and the base). 1st edition, 1st printing of this Calico Book, with calligraphic text by Hilda Scott. Illustrated by Tasha Tudor with pictorial initials and with full page color illustrations facing each page of text. A handsome copy of an early Tudor title.
