Octavo, 306pp. Tan cloth, title in brown on spine, illustration stamped on front cover. Stated "first edition" on copyright page. Solid text block, faint foxing along top edge, lightly bumped corners, slight offsetting to endpapers. Previous ownership inscription on front free endpaper. In the publisher's dust jacket, $2.50 retail price on front flap, wear to corners, flap folds, and edges. Light sunning to spine. Dust jacket torn diagonally across front panel, reinforced with archival tape on verso. A nice example of a beloved novel by William Faulkner's brother.
