New York: Soho Photo Gallery , 2003. This is a very good hardcover copy without dust jacket as issued, with just light wear. Completely clean inside and out. Text in English and Italian. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at the Soho Photo Gallery in New York from April 1 to May 3, 2003. The catalog was edited by Roberto Palmas, the son of Giuseppe Palmas. The Palmas Family Archive of Giuseppe Palmas' work includes over 66,000 negatives and around 4500 photographs. The catalog was printed in Italy and the photos reproduced in duotone (black & white) without retouching. Half of the book shows the impoverished Italians after the war, the other half shows the celebrities in Rome, many connected to the film industry: Federico Fellini, Giulietta Masina, Alberto Sordi, Hitchcock, Claudia Cardinale, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, among others. 30 photographs in all. Also a list of plates with some identifying information. 9" square, 14 pages text + plates. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking. . Hard Cover.
