About This Item
San Francisco: Golden Gate National Parks Association, 2001. Paperback. xi +416p., prefaces, illustrated with photos, CD Rom of selected FOIA documents in sleeve at rear, wraps a tad handled, else in very good condition. Signed by Sobell. "An electrical engineer with access to classified documents, Sobell was convicted along with the Rosenbergs as an 'atom spy.' He writes of the injustice of his conviction, largely influenced by his erstwhile membership in the Communist Party. He thoroughly describes his daily existence and preoccupations during the first half of his imprisonment (up to his release from Alcatraz), then summarizes the remaining time in ten pages." *Suvak 445.
