Large format hardcover, no dustjacket, brown cloth spine and beige boards with red title and a color illustration of a bulldog on the front cover, "The pictures about dogs in this book have been made by men who love dogs and who have been drawing them for 'Life' for many years. Practically every principal kind of dog is here exhibited," moderate surface wear is present at the edges of the cover and the blank rear cover is scuffed, the front cover illustration is in nice shape, clean copy inside and out, and the contents are fine, also, the first page present in this copy is the half-title page and the front hinge has a short crack so it is probable that the first blank end-paper has been removed; 113 pages .
