New York: Brewer & Warren, 1930. First American Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION, 1930. This is the only mystery that Sayers wrote which does not feature Lord Peter Wimsey. Robert Eustace is a pen name for Eustace Robert Barton. Barton was a doctor and scientist. For this book, he supplied the main plot and the scientific details. Light brown cloth with green art and text. 304 pp. The scarce dust wrapper has a burgundy background with art of a skeleton looking at a document. text in red, green and white. The book is VG with a bookstore stamp on the first front end paper and normal wear.  The dust wrapper is VG and is not price clipped.  The wrapper has wear, a sunned spine, and a small amount of white-out looking material at the bottom of the spine.
