In Very Good- Condition: heavily used, as is typical of this type of publication; leather is very rubbed; modern professional joint and hinge repair with Japanese tissue (restorer's report available on request); old, faint dampstain along upper edges of first leaves; occasional ink stain; complete.

This is a rare true first edition, presumed first printing ( number lline "10987654321) of this famous book by its famous author. The book is in excellent condition except for very light shelf wear at the spine edges of the cover, a name written near the top of the first flyleaf page and some sporadic highlighting and underlining on approximately 44 of the pages. Otherwise, the pages are clear, without tears or foxing. The unclipped dj ($18.00) has some light age toning, and light chipping at the spine edges.
