Full leather hardcover with red leather panels on spine with gilt lettering; four raised bands on spine; no publication date but the prefatory note is dated 1928; 596 pages; b&w illustrations and maps. Very good minus condition: slight scuffing to binding; clean; straight; bookplate inside; a library "discarded" stamp on ffep, otherwise no library markings; pages are nice. .
