Facsimile reprint of the first edition of The Discoverie of Guyana by Sir Walter Ralegh (1596) and the first edition in English of The Discoveries of the World by Antonio Galvao (1601). Both books bound together in one volume with the Coat of Arms of Queen Elizabeth in gilt on front cover. Book comes in a velvet lined clamshell box. Twenty page booklet titled Historical Introductions by A. L. Rowse and Bibliographical Notes by Robert O. Dougan laid in. Book and booklet are clean and bright and appear unread. Box is in VG+ condition with a bit of wear. Ships same or next business day. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
