Spine slightly age toned, though gilt bright; internally tight and near fine. Probable sole printing of this cryptic modern edition, whose name and city of publication and year of publication are garnished from a laid-in "A Note About This Edition" leaf which explains that "This limited edition... is the result of a collaboration between two Ohioans.... six (6) copies bound. There are no plans for a second printing." This an out-of-series copy, with "THIS IS NO. ___ OF 8" left blank -- why the limitation is noted as eight instead of six is unknown. A rather homespun production consisting of a photocopy of the true first edition (New York: G.W. Dillingham, Publisher, 1895) enlarged and folded accordion style. Apparently the Library of Congress owns the only known copy of the book and (according to laid-in leaf) "had forbidden reproduction because of their copy's fragile condition."
