About This Item
(Stanford: Contemporary Arts Publishers, 1999) 062024495X. 8vo; laminated pictorial boards; pp. (x) + 77 + (ix), (iv) + 170 + (xxxxii), (iv) + 154 + (xxii); reproductions of the artists' works, largely in full colour; advertisements for galleries. Bumps to corners and bottom edge of lower board; occasional fox spot. Very good condition. "Due to the financial constraints generally felt by most members of the art world, Volume III is smaller than the previous two volumes. Binding them together gives the collector a good idea of what is happening in South African art today, from the most well known artists to those who exhibit with less frequency. It is an overall collection of work, which I hope will be enjoyed by all those who are interested in art." .
