Original purple boards with black lettering. Illustrated with 63 b/w reproductions of the works, some full page, including their historical ownership location (with some of Chagall's lesser known early works in private collections). Frontisportrait of the artist. First monograph published on Marc Chagall. Authorized tranlation from th Russian by Frida Ichak-Rubiner. Spine sunned, boards a bit soiled, text-block evenly age-toned, else very good overall condition. No markings, NOT EX-LIBRARY. (fprw2)
