Number IV of only L copies, from a total of 250, this is signed by Genin at end and is copy number 237 out of 250, printed by Vierter Obelisk Drucke, with original etchings. Illustrated with 9 original etchings by Robert Genin. 8vo, 47 pages. Thin square 8vo, handsomely bound in quarter calf with marbled boards. Binder plate of "Gray Parrot, Hancock, Maine".
The story of John Erdmann and his loves and tragedies (born: 2 February 1719, died: 4 July 1785) married Caroline of Schönaich-Carolath (born: 20 June 1727; died: 18 December 1762) . Very nice etchings, printed on 100% rag art quality paper. Book and interior are in extra fine condition. Wassermann, wrote many works, a majority of those books were banned by the Nazis. Genin, the artist born in 1884 and died in 1941 at his own hand with an overdose of morphine because of a long standing leg injury (1920) and his rejection for military service for Russia.
