About This Item
The first two books of the Danzig trilogy, both first editions in the original German, together with a booklet signed by Grass. Die Blechtrommel (Herman Luchterhand Verlag, Darmstadt, 1959). Near fine in a very good dust jacket. A bit of sunning to the spine. The tiniest hint of loss to the top of the spine, reinforced by a little piece of tape to the back. A very nice copy. Katz und Maus (Luchterhand, 1961). A fine and flawless copy, in two identical dust jackets, presumably as issued. Begleitheft zur Ausstellung der Stadt- und Universitätsbibliothek Frankfurt am Main (Die Bibliothek, Frankfurt am Main, 1990). A softcover booklet to accompany an exhibition in Frankfurt. Featuring the 1985 Selbst mit Ratte self portrait on the the front. A few handling creases to the covers. Signed by Grass on the title page.
