Sir Robert Harry Inglis Palgrave (1827-1919) was a British civil servant and economist renowned for his notable contributions to economic literature, particularly his role as the editor of the "Dictionary of Political Economy". Originally published in 1894, this multi-volume work aimed to offer a thorough reference guide to economic concepts, theories, and scholars. It stood as a significant and influential publication within the field of economics. Nearly three decades following the initial release, "Palgrave's Dictionary of Political Economy" (1923-1926), edited by Henry Higgs, was published with Palgrave's name appended to the title.
