Linen boards the titles in gilt to the spine.Part of a forty volume set which we are nine copies short.This volume is in near fine condition.Top edges are brightly gilded and all edges are rough cut some uncut. The binding is fine and tight. These books will last another couple of hundred years or so.Rare with the Dodd,Mead as publishers.The spine shows very light shelf wear..a little faded and a hint of damp by the two or three pages at the rear.. First Edition. Linen Hard Cover. Near Fine/None Given. Illus. by Tissued Frontis Engravigs Etc. By Marcus Stone. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
