Major shelf/edge wear and one large chip missing (lower left edge of front panel) to original DJ - now in mylar. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. 27 chapters, appendix and index. James Buchanan Brady (August 12, 1856 – April 13, 1917), also known as Diamond Jim Brady, was an American businessman, financier and philanthropist of the Gilded Age. Book was published just before the 1935 film Diamond Jim was released. The film was based on the published biography Diamond Jim Brady by Parker Morell. It follows the life of legendary entrepreneur James Buchanan Brady, including his romance with entertainer Lillian Russell, and stars Edward Arnold, Jean Arthur, Cesar Romero and Binnie Barnes. Fascinating story about a fascinating New York gentleman. A very respectable copy in the original but flawed DJ.LOC SSS-02
