Venice: Gli Heredi di Marchio Sessa, 1569. 1st Italian Edition. Fine. Bound sympathetically in 20th c. full vellum. First Italian edition of this work by Spanish writer and soldier Jeronimo de Urrea. The work describes examples of chivalry (such as duels, etc.), and related subjects (heraldry, medals.) Condition: Occasional light foxing or small stains, mild toning in places, mostly clean, paper repairs to inner margins throughout occasionally obscuring a few letters, and a few other smaller similar repairs. All 3 fore edges have red and blue painted designs.
