Title lettered on spine, a few tiny spots to fore-edge, otherwise very good or better. Denoted a "Revised" draft of this unproduced screen adaptation of Lawrence's novel. Clarke had shared an Oscar with Gavin Lambert for the screenplay for the 1960 adaptation (also produced by Wald) of SONS AND LOVERS, but it seems the momentum from that success was not sufficient to carry this project beyond development. The lettered leaves at the end are possible alternates for scenes earlier in the script.
